Field Service Engineer
Area: Hull & surrounding areas
Salary range: £25k-28k:depending on experience and skill set
The main focus of the role is being responsible for the service and maintenance of vending machines in the Hull, York & surrounding areas. You should be capable of delivering a professional response - within our timescale and KPI standards (first time fix, repeat calls) to service calls logged into our head office by customers experiencing problems.
Responsibilities:
• Perform routine service, preventive maintenance, and repairs on vending machines located in the Hull, York and surrounding area.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to vending machine malfunctions, such as coin mechanism problems, refrigeration system faults, electrical faults, and general mechanical issues.
• Maintain accurate records of service and maintenance activities, including machine performance, repairs conducted, parts replaced, and any other relevant information using the company's bespoke systems and tools.
• Communicate with internal service desk and complete all calls via our bespoke systems.
• Responsible for the efficient storage and timely re-ordering of standard spares stock. Complete all necessary paperwork (parts requisition book).
• Make recommendations/suggestions where parts used frequently are not on standard spares lists.
• To highlight own training needs and attend any training courses arranged by the company.
• To adopt a flexible approach to tasks in line with changing company needs and priorities for the service department.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines while working on vending machines, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and promoting a safe working environment.
Requirements:
• Have a minimum of 2 years vending experience or similar; technical, mechanical, and electrical.
• Live within the Hull, York or surrounding area.
• Display a flexible attitude and strong work ethic.
• Be confident and professional in front of customers.
• Be able to regularly work on your own as well as being a strong team player.
• To be physically capable for the requirements of the job – some occasional heavy lifting (up to 25kg).
• A full driving licence and be confident driving long distances.
• To be reasonably confident with technology – IT skills.
