Role Purpose
* Account Management of the Home Office account, driving annual revenues from £5M to £20M.
* Provide a coordinating interface and point of contact across customer stakeholder community for cradle-to-grave engagement, from strategy and business development to operational programme delivery.
* Ensure clear communication between key customer stakeholders and internal QinetiQ teams to align on customer strategic growth plans, procurement opportunities, and project delivery status.
* Proactively link back to the QinetiQ business to support forward planning, capability development, and resource allocation to meet future customer demands.
* Identify and flag issues or challenges in ongoing project delivery early to enable effective remediation and response.
* Engage proactively with customer stakeholders to understand and shape their future strategy, ensuring QinetiQ remains well-positioned to deliver.
Key Accountabilities
* Develop and implement a customer stakeholder engagement plan, building trusted relationships across procurement and operational parts of their organisation, and within QinetiQ.
* Build a detailed understanding of the customer’s strategic plans, drivers, constraints, and hot buttons; help shape and inform their strategy development.
* Understand the customer’s budget and procurement plans to inform investments and future business development.
* Maintain a picture of project delivery, including customer perceptions and performance issues, to inform future planning and corrective actions.
* Support the development of the business rhythm through regular account reviews and meetings, fostering a partnership approach.
Key Capabilities/Knowledge
* Strong background in Cyber Security, with understanding of key drivers and constraints.
* Ability to build relationships and inspire confidence at multiple levels within both organisations.
* Strategic vision to operate in a complex environment and build clear strategies.
* Influence and trust to attain consensus among diverse stakeholders.
* Business acumen to balance conflicting demands and ensure mutual benefits.
Experience & Qualifications
* Proven track record in business development within the Home Office environment.
* Established network and trust within the Home Office.
* Strong technical and operational background in Cyber Security.
* Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and conflicting views.
* SC security clearance or ability to obtain it.
