T2M are currently working with a company who have been established for over 40 years and are a proud Kings Award winning business, to help them recruit a Software Engineer. This is a company that combines heritage with forward thinking technology.
Behind the scenes there are a suite of business-critical systems that power everything from finance, invoicing, payroll to production, harvesting performance analytics and providing commercial insights.
As they continue to invest in their internal systems, they are looking to strengthen their digital team with a Software Engineer to join their small but perfectly formed team in Hereford.
What will you be doing?
As Software Engineer you’ll be developing, maintaining and supporting a variety of integrated business applications within Microsoft-based environment that sits at the heart of daily operations.
This is a full stack position that leans towards the back end:
* Using Microsoft Development tools like C# .Net Core.
* New feature development from scratch.
* Enhancements and maintenance development.
They also use AI tools in their development environment including both premium Anthropic Claude and ChatGPT and are happy for you to use a service of your choice.
What are we looking for?
To be successful as Software Engineer, you’ll bring a broad mix of experience across software development experience, probably someone who would recognise themselves as a full stack developer, you’ll have experience with:
* C# .Net core (they have a diverse Microsoft background including visual studio, WPF, some .Net 4.6 and a small amount of VB.net).
* Exposure to backend, some SQL, schemas and database structure experience would be useful.
* Someone who can’t help but leave things better than they found them.
Most importantly, you’ll enjoy solving real-world business problems and taking ownership of systems that people rely on every single day.
