Operations Controller

🕒Hours: 06:30 - 14:30 or 12:00 – 22:00, Monday–Friday + 1 in every other Saturday (max 5 hrs)
💷 Pay Rate: £12.22 per hourWe are looking for a reliable and hands-on Operations Controller to join our clients team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a busy, customer-facing environment while also being involved in transport and logistics operations.What you’ll be doing:
* Manning the customer service desk – assisting customers by phone, email, and face-to-face
* Sourcing and handing over parcels to customers
* Working closely with van drivers – carrying out de-briefs, questioning on collections/deliveries, and ensuring delivery inputs are correctly processed and cleared in the system
* Supporting transport operations as required
* Handling and lifting large/heavy freight as part of daily duties
What we’re looking for:
* Strong communication skills with confidence in dealing with customers and drivers
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to use systems to log and clear delivery information
* A team player with a proactive attitude
* Physically fit and comfortable with lifting heavy items
