The McDermott group is seeking an HSEQ Advisor based in Perth, Scotland. This role is crucial in maintaining high standards in health, safety, environmental protection, and quality management.

* Position: HSEQ Officer
* Holidays: 30 days, with an additional day per year of service (max 5 days), plus holiday buy-back scheme of 5 days

Responsibilities
* Manage and liaise with HSEQ auditors to maintain company accreditations
* Develop, monitor, and maintain procedures within the Quality Management System
* Guide and train employees on HSEQ matters to ensure legal compliance
* Plan and conduct audits, and implement best practices
* Provide internal training on HSEQ topics
* Ensure company processes meet their objectives and promote continuous improvement
* Maintain the integrity of the HSEQ management system
* Conduct risk assessments and develop safe operational procedures
* Perform regular site inspections for policy adherence
* Ensure compliance with legislation and safety standards
* Develop health and safety strategies and policies
* Lead safety training sessions for staff and management
* Maintain records of inspections, incidents, and accidents; produce reports and statistics
* Stay updated on legislation and industry developments
* Produce management reports, newsletters, and bulletins
* Ensure safe installation and disposal of hazardous substances (e.g., asbestos)
* Advise on specialized areas like fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, and machinery safeguarding
* Manage emergency procedures, signage, PPE, and COSHH controls
* Qualifications: NEBOSH General or equivalent
* Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Knowledge of risk assessments, COSHH, RIDDOR, DSE, and auditing
* Full UK driving license and willingness to travel
* Must have full rights to work in the UK (IDLR or Settled Status)
