 Location: Burgess Hill (Hybrid - 2/3 days in office)
 Hours: Full time
 Pay: £55,000 per annum + 12% bonus
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Environmental & Sustainability Manager to join one of our longstanding clients, a leading organisation in the diagnostics industry, based in Burgess Hill.

The Requirements:
Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years' experience in environmental management or sustainability (experience within healthcare, pharma, or diagnostics is an advantage)
Strong knowledge of UK, Ireland, and international environmental regulations and reporting frameworks
Proven project management, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills
Analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to translate insights into actionable outcomes
Collaborative, adaptable, and passionate about sustainability and positive change 
The Role:
An opportunity to lead sustainability initiatives across the UK and Ireland, driving ESG commitments, compliance, and innovation to support the organisation's net-zero goals.
Develop and deliver sustainability strategies that align with global standards, ISO 14001, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals
Ensure compliance with environmental laws and reporting frameworks (ISO 14001, CDP, GRI, REACH, WEEE)
Lead initiatives to measure, analyse, and reduce carbon emissions, energy, water, waste, and resource use
Partner with internal teams, suppliers, and industry networks to promote sustainable practices
Design and deliver training to raise awareness and build capability across the organisation
Support sustainable product and process innovation, including circular economy initiatives
Establish and monitor KPIs, ensuring accurate reporting and continuous improvement
