Job Title: Brake Press Setter / Operator

Salary: £16.00 per hour (£33,280 per annum) + Overtime availability

Hours: Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 5:00pm & Friday 8:00am - 3:00pm
Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Brake Press Setter/Operator to join our clients Sheet Metal / Metal Fabrication team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating brake press machines to fabricate or modify metal parts according to precise specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Set up and operate brake press machinery safely and efficiently
* Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
* Select, install, and align appropriate tooling and dies
* Adjust machine settings for speed, material thickness, and bend angle
* Inspect completed parts to ensure they meet quality standards and tolerances
* Perform routine maintenance checks and report any equipment issues
* Maintain a clean and organized work area
* Follow all health and safety regulations and company procedures
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Brake Press Setter/Operator
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents
* Strong attention to detail and quality control
* Familiarity with various materials including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
* Capable of working independently and as part of a team
* Good physical condition - able to lift and handle materials as required
Desirable:
* Experience with CNC brake press machines (e.g., Amada, Bystronic, Trumpf, etc.)
* Relevant vocational training or engineering/manufacturing qualifications
