Job Description
Provide support to learners and teachers by undertaking a range of non-teaching duties, including classroom administration and practical tasks such as contributing to the preparation of teaching materials to assist with the promotion, delivery, and integration of the Council's key objectives, specifically in relation to the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement, and Best Value.
Requirements
The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with these groups, or if already a member, to be subject to a PVG Scheme Record Update, before any formal offer of employment can be made by East Ayrshire Council. PVG records are constantly updated, and any relevant information disclosed will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

The Individual
This is a permanent, part-time, term-time post based at Park School, Kilmarnock. The hours are 25 per week, Monday to Friday, 9.15 am - 2.45 pm. The post is temporary until 26th June 2026. The full-time salary ranges from £24,333 to £25,353 per annum, with part-time, term-time salary between £14,907 and £15,532.
