Counter Sales Assistant

The Role
As a Customer Service Assistant your primary focus will be to;
1. Offer an excellent level of customer engagement through offering advice, recommendations and assistance.
2. Maintain the highest standards of hygiene within the store.
3. Support and work effectively with your colleagues.
4. Continually work in a sales driven manner to achieve targets.
5. Drive the team to develop in-store knowledge, skills and confidence and process.
6. Support the store manager and Store Supervisor.
Your Key Responsibilities
7. Greeting and serving customers.
8. Preparing counter.
9. Preparing different cuts of meat.
10. Assisting customers with their purchases and providing product knowledge.
11. Preparation of counter and pre-pack areas.
12. Product sampling.
13. Stock rotation.
14. Price reduction.
15. Receiving deliveries and completing paperwork required.
16. Special offer material distribution.
17. General cleaning.
18. Internal training.
19. Supporting management function.
The Ideal Candidate
20. Proven customer service excellence.
21. Determination to drive sales.
22. IT literacy.
23. Knowledge of legal requirements and procedures.
24. Capability to motivate and guide team daily.
25. Support to deliver and train new people.
26. Deadline focused.
27. Flexible within working hours.
28. Ability to support store manager when not on site and act in a professional manner.
29. Strong communicator.
30. Competent to work well under pressure.
31. A keen interest in developing a career within the trade.
32. Strong communication skills.
