About the Home

We are a newly registered and operational children’s home supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties. The home has recently opened, making this an exciting opportunity to join a new service at an early stage and play a meaningful role in shaping its culture, routines, and day-to-day practice.

This is a full-time position, and we are looking for committed individuals who are able to contribute immediately to the service, support children through consistent care, and work as part of a developing and reflective team.

Right to Work Requirement:

Applicants must have an unrestricted right to work in the UK. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship or accommodate Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) transfers or switches for this role. Only candidates who can work full-time in the UK without sponsorship should apply.

About Us

Our mission is simple:

Children and young people are safe, seen and heard, valued for who they are and who they can become.

We are a new and growing children’s residential organisation with a passionate, resilient, and compassionate team and leadership. Together, we create a sense of belonging and high aspiration where every child’s needs are understood and never treated as limits to what they can achieve.

If you’re looking for an opportunity to grow, learn and develop your career while making a real difference, this is the place for you.

The Role

As a Residential Support Worker, you’ll play a key part in creating a warm, nurturing, and stable home for a child aged 8-18 with emotional and behavioural needs.

You’ll provide care that enables them to feel safe, develop life skills, and reach their full potential whether that’s helping with school routines, encouraging hobbies and community activities, or simply being a trusted adult they can rely on.

What You’ll Do

Provide high quality, child centred care and emotional support.

Build positive, trusting relationships with children.

Support daily routines, including school, activities, and appointments.

Be a positive role model, encouraging independence and resilience.

Keep accurate records and contribute to care planning.

Work collaboratively with your team to maintain a safe, homely, and inclusive environment.

Safeguard and protect children in line with policies and regulations.

What We’re Looking For

A caring, patient, and resilient approach.

Experience in children’s residential care or a similar setting.

Or someone who may not have direct experience, but considers themselves emotionally intelligent, authentic, and able to naturally connect with others

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential).

Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

A willingness to learn, reflect, and develop, we’ll support you every step of the way.

Ability to work a 24-hour rota (including sleep-ins, weekends, and bank holidays).

What We Offer

✨ Funded Level 4 or 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare

✨ Comprehensive induction and ongoing training

✨ Genuine career growth in a supportive, new company

✨ Company pension scheme
