We are seeking a dynamic Service Lead to join our Finance Team. The role will support our Purchase to Pay and Accounts Receivable team – a key delivery mechanism for our Transformation Programme and the way customers engage with the council. This role is pivotal in ensuring effective operational delivery, enhancing customer experience, and embedding improvements that put health and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do.
Salary: £40,777 - £41,771 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: Carlisle
Contract: Permanent
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the operational delivery of Purchase to Pay and Accounts Receivable services, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and internal policies.
* Make day-to-day operational decisions and resolve complex issues, maintaining high-quality controls.
* Drive service improvements through process redesign, technology adoption, and efficiency savings.
* Engage proactively with internal and external stakeholders to influence timely resolution and improve customer outcomes.
* Support projects that shape inclusive customer experiences and deliver a “no wrong door” approach.
* Motivate and develop your team within a modern learning culture, fostering excellence and attracting top talent.
About You
* Educated to NVQ Level 4 or equivalent experience.
* Experienced in managing complex systems and large data volumes.
* Knowledgeable in statutory frameworks and current litigation techniques.
* Proven ability to deliver and embed excellent customer service.
* Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Strong experience in partnership working and team management.
This role is available on a permanent basis.
