Overview
We are a steel detailing, fabrication & installation business based in Newton Abbot, who now seek an additional experienced Architectural Metalwork & Steelwork estimator.
We produce a wide variety of work in both mild steel & stainless steel including:
* Architectural Metalwork
* Secondary Steelwork
* Structural Steelwork
The role
* Estimating architectural metalwork, secondary steelwork & structural steel
* Read and interpret architects and engineering drawings
* Understand, evaluate & populate estimating data into the company’s estimating systems
* Comply & assist with H&S procedures & requirements
The candidate
* Experience from a steel fabrication & installation background & familiar in estimating steel fabrication / architectural metalwork
* Ability to use CAD software systems & 3D detailing in particular, is a distinct advantage
* Ability to use Excel, Word
* Driven by quality of workmanship
* Ability to work in a close-knit fast track business
* Good communication skills & able to liaise with Architects, Engineers & Clients
* Good IT skills & CSCS an advantage
