Fixed term up until 11/06/2026 (Secondment Opportunity)
Applications are invited for a 37 hours (Temporary) Band 6 Specialist Community Physiotherapist based at the Royal Northern Infirmary, Inverness.
This is a great opportunity for experienced Band 5s looking to develop at a senior level or for those already working as a Band 6 seeking to increase their community experience.

This role offers the chance to work within an established and highly experienced team of Physiotherapists. The team possesses a wealth of skills and knowledge, providing opportunities to learn and advance your skills. The physiotherapy team is part of a larger multidisciplinary team based at the RNI, known as the Integrated Community Team, working alongside professionals such as OTs, Social Workers, and Community Nurses.
At the RNI, the Community Physiotherapy team provides rehabilitation on Ward 1. The post may require covering rehab duties on Ward 1 as needed.
You will manage a community clinical caseload, including patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and discharge. The caseload covers a range of conditions including Neurological, Orthopaedic, Elderly Rehabilitation, and Falls. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated patient care.
Responsibilities include acting independently to deliver comprehensive specialist services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, onward referral, and discharge for complex cases. You will participate in MDT meetings, supervise junior staff and students, and deputize for the team lead when necessary. Regular supervision and peer support are provided.
Travel between work locations and patient residences is required; therefore, a current driving license is essential.
