Locum Optometrist
Overview
As the UK's leading provider of optical care at home, we are searching for passionate Locum optometrists to join us at the forefront of domiciliary care. Driven by our belief that clinically excellent eye care should be accessible and affordable for all, we use the latest mobile technology to deliver a life‑changing service across the UK, supporting the NHS to reach people who may struggle to get to the high street.
Location
Tonbridge and surrounding areas. Each day you’ll see a cluster of 6–7 patients within the same local area; travel can be up to 50 miles, but most days will be only a few miles from your home postcode.
Days
3–5 days per week (no weekends).
Rate
Daily rate + commission.
Your Role
* Help around 6–7 patients every day, visiting them in their own homes. Appointments are longer than high‑street visits (about 1 hour), allowing time to build relationships and deliver gold‑standard care.
* Make autonomous decisions, with support from senior optometrist team available within minutes if needed.
* Use the latest mobile equipment, including a mobile slit lamp, i‑Care tonometer and an industry‑leading digital records system, which eliminates paperwork.
