We are recruiting a Full-Time Sales Associate to join our luxury jewellery store in Brighton. This role requires five days per week, working between 9:00am and 6:00pm, including most weekends.
Previous retail experience is not essential, as full training will be provided; however, a strong interest in fine jewellery, precios metals/stones and premium customer service is essential. Candidates invited to interview are expected to present themselves in a professional and polished manner, in keeping with a luxury retail environment.
As a Sales Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional, personalised client experience. Responsibilities include welcoming clients, guiding them through product selections, maintaining high presentation standards, and supporting sales through consultative and thoughtful upselling. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for luxury craftsmanship are essential.
A multilingual or bilingual background, is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
* Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
* Maintain an organised and visually appealing sales floor through effective merchandising strategies.
* Demonstrate strong communication skills by engaging with customers and addressing their inquiries promptly.
* Utilise basic math skills to process transactions accurately and efficiently at the point of sale.
* Implement upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and increase overall sales.
* Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed within designated shifts.
* Exhibit professional phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries.
* Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and maintain a positive work environment.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a retail or sales environment is preferred but not essential.
* Strong organisational skills to manage inventory and maintain store presentation standards.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate effective customer interactions.
* Basic mathematical proficiency for handling transactions accurately.
