Our client has been providing outstanding service and advice to thousands of businesses and businesspeople for over 100 years. Based out of their busy and stylish offices in Cheshire, an opportunity has arisen for a new R&D Tax Consultant to join the business to help take the team and department to the next level. You will be responsible for delivering the end-to-end process, from initial client meeting the submission of the relevant claim to HMRC. Working alongside the now 2 strong R&D team, you will create long-term, trusting and prosperous relationships with both existing and new clients.
Day-to-day, you will be tasked with assisting clients in all aspects of the R&D process; qualifying claims to ensure they’re eligible, collating financial and technical information, preparing financial and technical reports, assisting clients to develop their strategies and to provide professional support, and advice in the event of HMRC enquiries.
Ideally, you will 4+ years of experience in R&D tax relief and a proven track record in preparing and submitting SME, RDEC, and Patent Box claims. A good knowledge of UK Corporation Tax is required along with a can-do, forward-thinking attitude to bring new ideas to the table that will further enhance the company’s proposition. You will need to manage multiple clients and cases at different stages, so good time-management and excellent verbal, written and communication skills are essential.
From a salary perspective you will be looking at between £30 – 48,000 depending on knowledge and experience levels. 27 days holiday (excluding bank holidays), flexible working, free parking and 4 x salary as death-in-service, are just some of the benefits.
