37 hours per week An exciting opportunity has arisen within Street works Management Team of the Communities Directorate who are seeking a Street works Inspector with knowledge and experience of working in a highway Network environment. This is an ideal opportunity to expand your knowledge of the maintenance requirements of the highway asset and ensure that the work undertaken by Statutory Undertakers is undertaken in accordance with the New Roads and Street works Act 1991. Ensuring reinstatements are completed correctly, works are undertaken safely and that any necessary disruption to the network is kept to a minimum. The role will require an understanding of the highway, its role within a community, reinstatement requirements and requirements of safe working practices within the Highway network. The applicant must have experience in undertaking the duties identified in this pack .You will need to have good arithmetical skills and must be able to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues, external companies and members of the public.
