ROLE SPECIFICATION - People Manager
Purpose of role
This is an incredible opportunity to join our small and high-performing people team, supporting the People & Culture Director, the People & Recruitment Officer and the wider business in the delivery of people related projects across the business, with a particular focus on employee benefits, employee relations and compliance/regulation. Accountabilities
The role comprises, but is not restricted to the following core people projects:
1.Employee benefits
·Work closely with the People & Culture Director and Employee Benefits Director to:
oLiaise and co-manage relationships with key providers
oManage the annual renewal process from the People Teams perspective
oManage comms to staff around core benefit proposition
oLead on proposals for the introduction of new or changing benefits in terms of research, business case preparation and implementation
oBe involved in the assessment of providers and platforms
oInvestigate the potential for a forward-looking and flexible benefits package for our people to be launched in the next 1-2 years.
2.Compliance and regulatory responsibilities
·Lead on managing the people aspects of the compliance and regulatory regime, notably SMCR, collaborating closely with the compliance team
·Manage liaison with compliance team re: FCA data requests and surveys
·Manage process and task plans for the management and implementation of new of regulatory change.
3.Employee relations
·Play a key role in the management and execution of:
oDismissals, redundancies and other settlements
oUnderperformance issues
oHealth and mental health issues, including occupational health liaison where necessary
oLow-level issues and dispute resolution.
In addition, the role will work collaboratively with the People & Culture Director and People & Recruitment Officer to cover the following:
1.Acquisitions and integrations
·Support with due diligence requests, analysis and resource planning for people-related aspects of acquisition and integration projects e.g.
oInduction planning for new starters
oContract negotiations and TUPE transfers
oPreparing due diligence requests for potential acquisitions
oReviewing due diligence data and highlighting key issues to the acquisition team.
2.Policy and people logistics
·Contribute to the development and maintenance of people policy across core areas of responsibility
·Collaborate with the wider ops team to manage People Team tasks associated with the office and operational projects e.g. office hours, hybrid working logistics, events, office scoping, etc
·Assist with the management of people admin and ad-hoc requests where necessary.
3.Recruitment and selection
·Support the People & Recruitment Officer and People & Culture Director with the recruitment process as and when necessary e.g. at role creation, selection and interview stages and occasionally managing specific roles.
·Depending on the experience levels and interests of the successful candidate, there will be an opportunity to get involved with People Team project work in some or all of the following:

Experience and Qualifications
The successful candidate will:
·Have minimum 3 years experience in a relevant people role in a comparable organisation. Experience within financial services will be a distinct advantage, but is not essential
·Be familiar with FCA regulations in an IFA setting or an equivalently heavily regulated business sector
·Be able to demonstrate practical experience of 80%+ of the key accountabilities described in this role specification.

Location: Weybridge, Surrey and/or Clerkenwell, London with hybrid working flexibility.
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week, office hours 9am to 5.30pm. It may be necessary to occasionally work outside of normal office hours in order to meet pressing deadlines.
Salary: dependent on experience, but expected to be GBP50k+. Full benefits are also available, together with a discretionary bonus of 10% salary.
