Are you an Electrical Project Engineer looking for a new role? Our client in Stourbridge has urgent requirements for an Electrical Project Engineer to join their team.
Start and Finish Times: Day shift - 5:00-17:00, Mon-Fri, 40 hours basic hours, staggered (weekend flexibility required)
Direct Report: Engineering Manager, Manufacturing Director
Job Responsibilities
* Enhance the reliability of manufacturing equipment and optimise the performance of all plant and foundry equipment across two manufacturing plants.
* Maintain equipment used in the production of high-quality ductile iron and steel castings for turbo/manifold and general engineering sectors.
* Ensure safety and adherence to health and safety policies.
* Perform fault diagnosis and repair in a heavy engineering foundry environment.
* Develop, identify, improve, and review risk assessments within the engineering department.
* Supervise and control subcontractors on site.
* Maintain electrical equipment, wiring, motors, switches, and assist in the development of PPM systems.
* Identify projects to optimise plant performance, reduce costs, or improve reliability and output.
* Follow and respect company procedures, including safety, purchasing, and maintenance protocols.
* Promote continuous improvement and participate in the development of foundry practices.
Minimum Requirements: Apprentice trained with relevant certification and qualifications, including City & Guilds 17th edition wiring regulations, ability to read ladder diagrams, PLC literacy, and experience with electrical installations, maintenance, testing, and repair.
Additional Skills: Ability to read circuit diagrams, fault find on electrical control circuits, and experience with manufacturing equipment maintenance.
Advantages: Siemens S7, CAM programming, confined space training, working at height, forklift license, crane and lifting experience, First Aid, Fire Safety.
