Our Tax Trusts & Compliance team specialises in helping clients navigate the complexities of UK and international tax legislation. They provide comprehensive services including the preparation and submission of personal, corporate, and trust tax returns, as well as VAT and ATED returns. The team is currently looking for a Senior Chartered Accountant to join in Chichester (with hybrid working available).
This role will focus on managing the workflow for corporate clients while supporting the wider team with personal tax clients as required. Responsibilities include:
* Manage and prepare company accounts, corporation tax returns, VAT returns, and payroll.
* Assist the Tax, Trusts, and Compliance team with personal tax clients, including reviewing tax returns for junior team members and managing a portfolio of self-assessment tax returns, depending on experience.
* Engage with sports clients, handling image rights companies and personal tax returns.
* Lead the implementation of upcoming changes to the tax system (Making Tax Digital) effective April 2026.
* Advise clients on tax issues and strategies to minimise liabilities.
* Research, analyse, and interpret tax legislation to ensure accurate returns and advice.
About You
* Chartered Accountant qualification (ACA or ACCA).
* Proven experience in managing company accounts and corporation tax is essential.
* Experience with personal tax, Family Investment Companies, and sports clients is helpful but not essential; if no personal tax experience, the role may be part-time.
* Proficiency in Word and Excel.
* Strong time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
* Attention to detail and high accuracy.
