THE JOB
We are seeking a designer with experience in the events sector to expand our team, creating and implementing events and experiences globally. We specialize in crafting unique and bespoke experiences for our clients. This fast-paced, growing business offers an exciting opportunity to be part of something special.
Reporting to the Head of Creative and working within a friendly, helpful team of designers, this role is newly created to expand our current team. Our designers manage their own projects and collaborate with our 3D visualizer and graphic designer. Responsibilities include project briefing, concept development, sourcing suppliers, project management, and onsite execution of designs.
The role involves visiting sites, being client-facing, representing Taylor Bennett, and working alongside our project management and registration teams.
THE CANDIDATE
We seek someone capable of working as part of a team on a diverse portfolio of projects (exhibition stands, conferences, events) with project management and budgeting experience.
Ideal candidates will:
* Possess appropriate design qualifications or a proven portfolio with at least 3 years’ design experience.
* Understand technical drawings.
* Have knowledge of production, build methods, and materials (advantageous).
* Manage their workload effectively.
* Work well in a team and use initiative.
THE SKILLS
* Bring creativity and fresh ideas to the team, contributing a different design perspective.
* Experience in both 2D and 3D design.
* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
* Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software.
* Bonus skills: knowledge of 3D Max, Cinema 4D, SketchUp, or video editing.
Additional Details
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, office hours 08:00 – 18:00, with early/late options).
Location: Based in a beautiful barn in Hertfordshire countryside. Own transport is required due to the office location. Home working is available on an ad hoc basis around event requirements.
Travel: UK and worldwide, including evenings and weekends.
Salary: Dependent on experience; more experienced candidates will be considered.
