Lead System Architect – Mission Planning & Control
Location: Bristol or Stevenage, UK – Hybrid (3‑5 days on‑site depending on workload)
Required: British Citizenship
Key responsibilities:
* Lead the creation and maintenance of architectural artefacts for the Mission Planning & Control product line.
* Guide and mentor other architects, influencing the overall design and delivery approach.
* Apply MBSE practices to complex system architectures and ensure alignment with product line principles.
* Collaborate with multi‑skilled teams to deliver solutions on time, on cost, and to quality standards.
Skills & experience required:
* Proven expertise in complex systems architecture and practical MBSE experience.
* Knowledge of architectural principles in a product line environment is desirable.
* Proficiency in Rhapsody & SysML, and IBM Engineering Workflow Management (essential); experience with DOORS Next Generation is advantageous.
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate and influence across teams.
* Experience leading small to medium work packages autonomously and tackling highly complex challenges.
