Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Development and Communications Assistant, based in the Greater Oxford Area. The assistant will be responsible for supporting development and alumni relations efforts through tasks such as administrative support, event coordination, donor stewardship, and database management. Duties include assisting with external communications, drafting newsletters, updating the website and social media channels, and maintaining accurate records to support various fundraising initiatives. This role requires excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with alumni, donors, staff, and key stakeholders.
Qualifications
* Experience in administrative tasks, data management, and organizational skills.
* Proficiency in written and verbal communication, including creating compelling content and managing correspondence.
* Familiarity with digital tools related to social media platforms, email marketing, and software for website maintenance.
* Event planning and coordination abilities, with strong attention to detail and time management skills.
* Interpersonal skills and the ability to engage constructively with diverse groups of individuals, including alumni and key stakeholders.
* Proficiency in standard office software and knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) systems is an advantage.
* Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Communications, Marketing, English, or related areas is preferred.
