A fast-growing engineering business is looking to recruit an EHS Advisor to join the team at their Head Office near Chester. The company are offering a starting salary range of £38,000 - £45,000 per annum, with access to a range of internal and external training & development opportunities to support your professional growth. What You'll Do As EHS Advisor, you'll be at the heart of driving positive change across all aspects of health, safety, and environmental management within the organisation. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating with various teams including site management, manufacturing managers, QSHE professionals, and board members, to uphold rigorous standards that protect both staff and customers. You will be responsible for: supporting external certification processes (such as ISO 14001/45001) by conducting audits and inspections that inform strategic improvements delivering targeted training sessions that empower colleagues to manage risks effectively maintaining incident reporting systems for transparency at all levels, and analysing data trends for actionable insights safeguarding asset integrity through diligent oversight of equipment servicing/testing protocols reviewing risk assessments for operational excellence advising on policy compliance for robust risk control measures investigating incidents thoroughly for continuous improvement purposes promoting an inclusive culture where safety is prioritised above all else, while nurturing collaborative relationships across departments What You'll Bring The company are keen to hear from capable EHS Advisors with previous experience in an engineering, manufacturing or potentially even construction environment, with strong IT skills for documentation and reports and ideally with a recognised H&S qualification or membership (NEBOSH/IOSH). Your background should include leading or supporting audits against industry standards (ISO 45001/14001), ideally with an understanding of engineering-specific regulations and occupational hygiene expertise. Your application will be of interest if you can demonstrate the ability to build relationships through a variety of communication styles tailored for diverse audiences, while using your analytical abilities to interpret complex data sets into actionable insights and Continuous Improvement initiatives. By joining this team as EHS Advisor you’ll contribute not only technical know-how but also empathy-driven leadership that supports everyone’s wellbeing. NEBOSH qualification and/or membership of an appropriate health & safety professional body (such as IOSH) is highly valued for this position. Minimum three years’ broad-based experience as an EHS advisor or manager within engineering, manufacturing or construction Proven track record conducting health & safety/environmental audits against certificated management systems (ISO 45001/14001) is advantageous. Demonstrated subject matter expertise in engineering health & safety topics Excellent IT skills with proficiency using Microsoft Office packages such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams & PowerPoint for effective communication & reporting.
