We have opportunities available for experienced sonographers to join our ultrasound team based in Yorkshire. Were looking for driven, upbeat, enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to join our growing team.
In this role you will be responsible for independently performing and reporting a variety of ultrasound scans, including gynaecological, general, vascular, MSK, abdominal, soft tissue, and small parts imaging.
Based across various locations across Yorkshire including:
Bradford, Leeds, York and Bridlington
Main duties of the job
* Provide ultrasound scanning services in conjunction with other Sonographers and health care professionals.
* Address patients concerns before, during and after ultrasound examinations.
* Independently perform ultrasound scanning duties to the required standards of YHS and to produce a clinical report for each ultrasound scan undertaken.
* To undertake any administrative duties that may be necessary for speedy progression of patients and patient results.
* To actively participate in matters concerning clinical governance, clinical audit and assessment.
* To have responsibility for ensuring active participation in continuing professional development (CPD).
* To undertake any equipment tests as part of YHS quality assurance program and to report any equipment faults to the service manager.
* To adhere to company policy and procedures in terms of health and safety, data protection and confidentiality.
* To give full co-operation in any investigations of a complaint or untoward incident and comply with company procedure to that effect.
* To ensure that professional and technical knowledge/expertise is kept up to date and to maintain a portfolio to show evidence of personal professional develop.

Job responsibilities
* Sonographer ideally with current HCPC registration.
* Based across North Yorkshire - Leeds, York, Bradford, Bridlington - community clinics and hospital CDCs
* To provide a high standard of work as agreed by the service demand, ensuring examination of patients is carried out efficiently and consistent with YHS standards.
* Candidates must be able to scan and report independently, but work as part of a team with a Health Care Assistant.

Qualifications
* -Diploma of College of Radiographers or BSc (Hons) Radiography (or equivalent).
* -Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound
* -Registered with the HPC and SOR

* A motivated sonographer with NHS experience who can work independently and confidently, with the ability to manage workload efficiently is essential.
