Previous experience in programming and/or visitor experience in a heritage setting. An understanding of project management principles and practice – including project management lifecycles, processes and practices. Good stakeholder management skills – ability to support teams to deliver objectives and work with a wide range of people across multiple roles, job areas, and levels of seniority. Good organisation skills including managing governance arrangements and regular reporting. A good communicator, with the ability to analyse findings and create best practice guidance materials to present and share with stakeholder groups. Track record of successfully managing and/or supporting project delivery. A flexible thinker and problem-solver, skilled at building and maintaining relationships and working collaboratively. Preferably holds a project management qualification or looking to work towards one. Project OfficerThis is a national role within the Access & Conservation directorate, reporting to the Senior Programme Manager, working as a key member of the programme team. As this is a national role, there is flexibility on your contractual place of work. Our hybrid working policy means you can balance office and home working with site visits and meetings at other National Trust places. We’ll talk about this in more detail at interview, but you should expect to be at a National Trust site for 40–60% of your working week. Your primary role will be to manage the continuation and close of the Programming work package, overseeing the continued delivery and evaluation of funded test, learn and apply activity, managing a key supplier relationship for evaluation services, and producing best practice guidance materials to be shared within the programme and wider organisation. You’ll also work with our 28 Discovery House properties to compile and share examples of other great practice indoor programming. You’ll report in regularly to the Senior Programme Manager, Place project sponsor and Place project client on work package progress. You will complete monthly progress and monitoring reports for the Programme Board and maintain communications to wider stakeholders supporting work package deliverables.
