Assistant Director - Culture and Regeneration
East Lindsey District Council on behalf ofSouth & East Lincolnshire Councils Partnershipis seeking a strategic leader to take on the role ofAssistant Director – Culture and Regeneration. This is a great opportunity to shape the cultural and economic future of a diverse and historic region, working across three councils to deliver ambitious regeneration and placemaking programmes that celebrate our heritage, empower our communities, and attract investment.
What You’ll Do
* Lead the development and implementation of a shared cultural and regeneration strategy across Boston, East Lindsey, and South Holland.
* Manage and monitor delivery of regeneration programmes for circa £300 million Grant Funding across the Partnership area.
* Continued support of three Town Boards (Connected Coast, Boston and Spalding) to oversee the delivery of funded projects and leveraging partnership working to enable further funding and investment
* Drive forward major capital projects, heritage-led regeneration, and creative placemaking initiatives that reflect the unique character of our towns, coastal and rural communities.
* Forge strong partnerships with local stakeholders, cultural institutions, and national bodies to unlock funding and deliver high-impact programmes.
* Champion inclusive growth, ensuring that culture and regeneration benefit all residents and contribute to health, wellbeing, and economic resilience.
* Inspire and manage multidisciplinary teams across the partnership to deliver innovative, joined-up solutions.
What We’re Looking For
* A proven leader with experience in cultural development, urban or rural regeneration, and programme management.
* A collaborative mindset and the ability to work across multiple councils and communities.
* Strong project and programme management as well as stakeholder engagement skills.
* An excellent communicator with passion for driving change with focus on delivery.

Regular travel across the district is required as you will attend late evening Council Meeting and Committees.
This position is a shared management role within the South and East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership (SELCP) and forms part of the S113 agreement between the participating partnership Councils in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement 1st October 2021.
This is a politically restricted post.
