This is a unique opportunity to be at the heart of a transformative project, working with a passionate and collaborative team of over 40 people in group IT.
The Test Manager is responsible for leading and managing the IT Test team, providing leadership to empower, develop and continually improve testing and Software Quality Assurance. You will ensure alignment and partnership with development and integration work performed by the IT Development team.
You will lead the testing strategy and execution for implementation of IFS Cloud (Project Evergreen): responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering high-quality testing across Project Evergreen.
Hybrid working based from Harrogate (HG2 7DL). Please note that this position is not suitable for fully remote applicants, as regular on-site collaboration in Harrogate is essential.
Responsibilities
 * Lead and develop the IT Test team, fostering a culture of learning, innovation, and continuous improvement through mentoring, coaching, and best practice sharing.
 * Collaborate with Group Change PMO and the Office of IT to plan resource and capacity in short to long‑term, ensuring sufficient attention for both delivery of portfolio change and incremental change via Continual Delivery models. Communicate clearly with other stakeholders to effectively manage expectations.
 * Effectively prioritise and plan the team’s workload, ensuring the team has the right mix of capabilities to meet future needs, and where there are gaps develop plans and take action to address.
 * Oversee test strategies, plans and scripts defined by Test Leads, ensuring alignment with technical designs and business requirements. Ensure that the IT Test team are rigorously validating software changes including collaborating with the IT Development team to test ERP configurations, extensions, and integrations, as well as software changes made by 3rd party suppliers.
 * Partner with Project Managers, and cross‑functional Continual Delivery squads, to remove blockers; ensure alignment with priorities, tasks and deadlines.
 * Communicate clearly with stakeholders providing regular reporting highlighting risks, progress and quality metrics. Facilitate test readiness reviews and sign‑off processes.
 * Ensure comprehensive coverage across functional, integration, regression, and UAT phases. Ensure effective planning and prioritisation, capacity management, leadership, collaboration across project teams, taking responsibility for testing to deliver successfully.
 * Oversee data migration testing, ensuring data integrity and consistency post‑transition.
 * Lead continuous improvement in testing methodologies, tools, and automation practices, staying updated with industry trends.
 * Establish and maintain governance frameworks throughout the testing lifecycle, including reporting, risk management and compliance with ISO27001, PCI DSS and GDPR.
Qualifications
 * Proven experience as a Test Manager in ERP or transformation programmes.
 * Significant experience coaching, mentoring and training others; experience of leading teams and managing people.
 * Experience of testing IT changes delivered through both project methodologies and agile methodologies, including data migration testing and integration platforms like SnapLogic.
 * Up‑to‑date knowledge of new technologies, IT solutions and best practice including ISO27001 and ITIL.
 * Excellent communicator, able to listen, understand, interpret and communicate non‑technical and technical information to a wide range of audiences.
