Job Introduction
Archives Technology and Services, a department within BBC Technology Group, focuses on the movement, delivery, storage, archiving, and reuse of BBC Programmes. We develop and support enterprise systems that enable thousands of users inside the BBC, as well as indie production and education partners, to search, find, and reuse archive master content. Our team supports the BBC’s delivery chain, shipping content to all linear Channels, iPlayer, and providing Creative and Access Services.
As a Business Analyst, you will work across various product offerings including file-based delivery, archive products, storage development, and content location, tracking, reconciliation, and reporting.
Role Responsibilities
You will be part of our Archive Delivery team, responsible for delivering programme content supporting BBC Channels, iPlayer, Radio, and BBC Sounds, ensuring all programmes are archived for posterity.
Our team develops and builds a range of archive products using modern serverless approaches. We are creating the BBC’s first cloud hybrid archive system, and you will play a key role in this initiative.
In this role, you will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams that operate autonomously and proactively to build and improve products within the Archives Technology & Services domain. You will oversee upcoming roadmap requirements, ensuring clarity and readiness for development.
