Job overview
We are recruiting for a Service Coordinator - Pre-operative Assessment Service who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
The successful candidate will work closely with nursing and medical colleagues to support patients through the Pre-Operative Assessment pathway. Key responsibilities will include, clinic administrative management, data quality, income capture, managing daily appointments, following up on investigations and external notes and supporting the wider team in managing the caseload of patients awaiting surgery.
The post holder will be able to shape the role to ensure the service and the trust continue to meet national guidance set out by GIRT.

Main duties of the job
The Post holder will coordinate the day-to-day delivery of pre-operative assessment clinics, including face-to-face, telephone, and virtual appointments.
You will support theatre scheduling teams by ensuring patients are fit and ready for surgery.
The successful candidate will be using systems such as Lorenzo, EPR, ICE, and eReferral to track patient records anddiagnostic results.
You will also act as the first point of contact for enquiries related to pre-operative assessment.

Qualifications / Training
* GCSEs (A–C) or equivalent incl. English and Maths
* Post – Graduate management qualification or equivalent experience of line managing administration staff
* Evidence of continuing development
Previous Experience
* Frontline NHS or related experience
* Finance management including revenue collection
