An Architectural Technician job in Warwickshire working on fast-paced hospitality, retail and commercial fit-out projects.
This Architectural Technician Job in Warwickshire is suited to a confident technician with at least 5 years’ experience. You will produce detailed technical packages and manage your own workload.
Based in Warwickshire, the role involves brand rollout schemes and interior environments across the UK. You will report to Senior Technicians and Design Leads.
The position focuses on technical delivery across RIBA Stages 3–6, ensuring compliance with UK Building Regulations and CDM requirements.
Role & Responsibilities
• Produce detailed working drawings and coordinated technical packages
• Prepare and submit Planning and Building Regulations applications
• Liaise with local authorities, consultants and contractors
• Prepare pavement licence drawings and as-built Health & Safety files
• Coordinate drawing packages with Designers and the wider team
• Manage individual project workloads to agreed programmes
• Assist with measured surveys and building surveys
• Maintain knowledge of UK Planning policy, Building Regulations and CDM
• Research construction methods, materials and regulatory updates
• Attend design team and site meetings across Warwickshire and the UK
• Support hospitality, retail and commercial fit-out projects
• Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants
• Assist with maintaining the technical library
• Support Senior Technicians and Design Leads to meet programme targets
Skills & Experience Required
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an architectural or design-led practice
• HNC, HND or Degree in Architectural Technology, Architecture or similar
• Strong technical knowledge of construction methods and detailing
• Experience delivering technical packages at RIBA Stages 3–6
• Proven background in hospitality, retail or commercial fit-out projects
• Good understanding of UK Planning, Building Regulations and CDM
• Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail in drawing production
• Confident communicator, comfortable in client-facing environments
• Ability to guide junior or freelance staff
Software
• AutoCAD – Advanced proficiency essential
• Vectorworks – Working knowledge preferred
• Adobe Creative Suite and Acrobat
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Salary & Benefits
• £35,000 – £45,000
