Description Role: Primary Teacher Key Stage: KS2 Employment basis: Temporary. Covering maternity leave until 31st January 2027, or when our colleague returns from maternity if sooner. Start Date: 1 February 2026 Location: Outwood Primary Academy Newstead Green (within the Wakefield ‘South’, Barnsley, Doncaster locality) Positions Available : x 1.0 FTE (£32,916 - £51,048) As Executive Principal, I am incredibly proud to lead a team of dedicated colleagues across our 13 vibrant Outwood Primary Academies. Situated in the village of Havercroft that sits on the border of Wakefield and Barnsley. We are a small one form entry primary school which prides itself on our work within our community to improve the lives of not only our pupils but of our families too. KS2 As a Key Stage 2 teacher working within our family of schools, you will support children aged 7-11 in developing deeper knowledge and critical thinking through a broad and balanced curriculum, fostering independence, resilience, and a love for learning in preparation for secondary education. In joining our family of schools, you will be appointed to a school within a local area (see below) and we will work with you to offer deployment to a school that is suitable for you geographically, and that matches your skillset, development and the needs of the school. This brings opportunity and flexibility should you wish to consider working in other schools that bring different challenges and experiences to further develop your practice and input to a wider community. Deployments will always be in consultation and for full academic years unless in exceptional circumstances.
