Standardization, Leadtime & Cost reduction are key pillars to deliver our worldwide growth aligned with customer SQDC expectations & our financial targets. Job Summary: GSI Manufacturing Lean Leader is responsible for driving the strategic implementation and operationalization of Lean roadmap across the Manufacturing Function units located in UK, Vietnam and India. This role is critical in driving continuous improvement to achieve strategic and operational business objectives in transactional environment. This role focuses on: Driving Lean continuous improvement through successful & sustainable Kaizen, Hoshin Kanri improvement priorities and workshops Cultivating a Lean culture: embedding core lean principles (e.g. 5S, Standard Work, Daily Management) into daily operations, fostering a mindset of continuous improvement throughout the organization. Ensuring through training & coaching the effective application of lean tools, which involves understanding when and how to use each tool to drive continuous improvement and eliminate the waste Deploying action plan to increase Lean maturity level (MOR, Kaizen, Lean Roadmap, Daily management) of each regions & Product delivery Group Creating & animating lean leaders across the production units This role requires around 30% of travel between UK and India/Vietnam. Roles & Responsibilities: 1. Lean Roadmap Deployment: Operationalize the Lean Roadmap (Hoshin Kanri improvements priorities, Projects, Kaizen events) ensuring continuous improvement actions with direct sustainable business impact. Specifically for Kaizen events, ensure efficient pre work to enable a real impact during the Kaizen & sustainable results Ensure cross fertilization among the units in improvement actions to ensure that all are supporting the overall Manufacturing function priorities and SQDC KPI's. 2. Cultural Transformation and Lean Principles Embedding: Encourage a mindset shift to a lean culture by identifying waste valuing continuous improvement Make 5 S, Standard Work, Visual Daily management Lean foundation tools among the units. Involve employees at all levels in the lean transformation through training, workshops, and idea contribution opportunities 3. Lean Competencies: Based on lean competencies assessment, contribute to develop & deliver training programs to educate employees about lean principles, tools, and methodologies for immediate application. 4. Performance Metrics and Accountability: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with lean objectives. Encourage leaders to conduct Gemba walks to observe processes, engage with employees, and identify improvement opportunities 5. Sustaining the Lean Culture: Conduct regular reviews of lean practices and their effectiveness. Recognize and celebrate lean achievements to maintain enthusiasm and commitment to continuous improvement. Required Qualifications: Significant experience in business operations in project environment with a proven track record of results in continuous improvement. Impactful & influencing communicator with experience working and leading cross-culturally in large, matrixed organizations. Proven mentoring and coaching abilities; demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire others and to lead with humility, transparency, and focus. Ability to effectively "go to Gemba" and gather relevant inputs for problem-solving and process improvements. Desired Qualifications: Master's degree or equivalent knowledge or experience in Engineering, Supply Chain, or another technical field. Additional cross-functional leadership experience in the areas of Project Management, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction and/or Quality is preferred. Skilled level of lean tools and methodologies and demonstrated Kaizen facilitation experience will be a plus. Good business and financial acumen.
