A well-established environmental consultancy is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Hydrological Advisor to join a multidisciplinary team working on a major infrastructure project. This full-time, site-based role offers the opportunity to shape environmental outcomes from planning through delivery.
Your new role
As a key member of the Ecology and Environment team, you'll provide strategic hydrological guidance to ensure the project meets environmental, engineering, and regulatory standards. You'll be involved in:
* Supervising construction sites with a focus on water management
* Designing construction-phase drainage and water treatment systems
* Monitoring water quality and interpreting results
* Advising on flood risk, climate adaptation, and drainage strategies
What you'll need to succeed
* 3+ years' experience in hydrology or environmental advisory roles within construction or civil engineering
* A degree in environmental science, hydrology, water resources, or a related field
* Proficiency in hydrological modelling tools
* Experience with flood risk assessments, drainage design, and climate resilience planning
* Familiarity with environmental legislation and permitting processes
* A valid CSCS card and UK manual driving licence
* Strong written communication and IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
