The Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will:
Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
Support students with a range of SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
Contribute to EHCP targets, reviews, and personalised learning plans
Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to ensure impact
Work collaboratively with the SENCO, teaching assistants, and pastoral teams
Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external professionals

✅ Essential Requirements
✔️ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
✔️ Experience teaching students with SEND
✔️ Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
✔️ Ability to differentiate effectively across a range of needs
✔️ Excellent classroom management skills
✔️ Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
Desirable
➕ Experience in a secondary school setting
➕ Experience supporting students with EHCPs
➕ Knowledge of therapeutic or trauma-informed approaches
➕ Additional SEND or specialist training
