Communications & Marketing Director – Maternity Cover at Harts Group in Soho, London. This maternity cover role for 6–9 months requires proven experience in hospitality and involves leading strategic communications for the growing restaurant group and external clients.
Base pay range and benefits
Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 DOE.
Role: Monday to Friday, 09:30am to 06:00pm. Evenings and events presence required 2–3 times per month.

Responsibilities
* Lead and execute strategic communication efforts for our growing restaurant group and external clients, shaping the brand narrative and managing internal and external messaging
* Ensure consistent, authentic, and engaging messaging across platforms, including websites and SEO, with a focus on PR, social media, influencer marketing, and event promotion
* Cover for the Comms and Marketing Director’s maternity leave, executing existing strategies and developing new ones where needed
* Develop and deliver communications strategies across PR, social media, influencer campaigns, website content, and SEO
* Maintain strong relationships with senior/editor-level media, journalists, bloggers, and influencers
* Oversee website management, content creation, SEO optimization, and collaboration with external agencies
* Plan and manage social media strategy, content calendars, and campaign performance tracking
* Lead influencer partnerships, social media campaigns, and measure ROI
* Create engaging content for social media, press releases, blogs, and event promotion
* Coordinate and execute events, press dinners, and influencer activations
* Manage external client accounts, ensuring high-quality service and accurate billing
* Develop local marketing strategies, partnerships, and co-branded promotions
* Identify and submit for relevant industry awards; represent the group at events
* Lead and mentor a communications team with ongoing training in PR, digital marketing, and content creation
* Collaborate with operations and events teams to align communications with business goals
* Monitor, analyse, and report on website traffic, media coverage, social media engagement, and campaign performance
* Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication and copywriting
* Hands-on experience with SEO, website management, and social media strategy
* Provide leadership and positively manage a team
* Be creative, strategic and proactive to drive brand visibility across multiple channels
