The Home
Braefield Court Residential Home a is registered service consisting of seven self contained ground floor apartments. Braefield Court supports adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Behaviours that may challenge.
The Role
The Team Leader role Through support and guidance of the care assistants the Team Leader will ensure the daily needs of residents in the service are met using a positive behavior, person centered approach. We want to enable residents to have opportunities for life enrichment using an approach tailored to meet everyone.
Main Responsibilities
* Build a positive and supportive rapport with residents. Putting Human Rights at the center of all care delivery.
* Plan and implement with nursing staff individual programmes of care with support from the team. Guide the care assistants to meet the daily care needs of residents, providing a high standard of care.
* Oversee the care assistants ensuring care is provided in a safe environment through participation in learning and development programmes. Examples of this are, Safety Intervention Training, Understanding and Implementing Positive Behaviour Support, Implementing Active Support, Reflective Practice Sessions and Understanding your role in Safeguarding.
* Assist residents to take part in meaningful individualised activities and provide support for social inclusion.
* Understand the health and safety requirements of the role from training, ensuring to report any concerns to management.
You will need:
* Educated to a minimum GCSE/ NVQ 3
* At least 2 years’ experience working in a regulated care or support environment.
* Right to work in the UK
