Roadside Mechanic Location: Coventry
1. Salary: £48,720 basic | OTE up to £54,000
2. Hours: Average 40 hours per week (flexible shift pattern)
3. Contract: Full-time, Permanent
We are recruiting for a Roadside Mechanic to join a nationally recognised roadside assistance organisation. This role is ideal for an experienced technician who enjoys variety, autonomy, and working in a customer-facing environment where no two days are the same.

As a Roadside Mechanic, you will attend breakdowns and vehicle faults at the roadside, providing expert diagnostics, repairs and customer support. You’ll work independently, managing your own workload while delivering a high standard of service.
Key responsibilities include:
4. Diagnosing and repairing vehicle faults at the roadside
5. Carrying out mechanical, electrical and diagnostic repairs
6. Supporting customers calmly and professionally in all situations
7. Managing your own van stock, tools and diagnostic equipment
8. Completing job reports accurately using provided systems
9. Representing the business with professionalism at all times
Working Pattern
10. Average 40 hours per week across the year
11. Shift times between 06:00 and 02:00
12. May include early starts, evenings, weekends and bank holidays
13. Rota provided in advance, with flexibility required
What We’re Looking For
14. Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
15. Strong mechanical, electrical and diagnostic experience
16. Full UK driving licence
17. Customer-focused approach
18. Flexible attitude to working hours and occasional overnight stays
19. Confident working independently in a fast-paced environment
