Job Purpose
To support the General Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving business performance, and ensuring smooth daily operations in a fast-paced, high-quality Italian restaurant environment.
Operations Management
* Assist in the day-to-day running of the restaurant, ensuring high standards of service, cleanliness, and food quality
* Step in to lead shifts and manage service effectively during peak periods
* Ensure compliance with all health & safety, food hygiene, and licensing regulations
Team Leadership
* Support recruitment, training, and development of front-of-house staff
* Motivate and coach the team to deliver outstanding service aligned with brand standards
* Supervise staff performance and handle employee relations issues when required
Customer Experience
* Deliver a warm, welcoming, and memorable dining experience for all guests
* Handle customer feedback and resolve complaints professionally and efficiently
* Maintain high service standards consistent with the Gino D’Acampo brand
Financial Performance
* Assist in managing budgets, labour costs, and stock control
* Support in achieving sales targets and maximising profitability
* Monitor daily sales, costs, and KPIs, reporting directly to the General Manager
Stock & Supplier Management
* Oversee ordering, stock rotation, and inventory accuracy
* Minimise waste and ensure cost control procedures are followed
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within hospitality/restaurants
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Excellent communication and customer service abilities
* Good understanding of financial controls (labour, GP, stock)
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Passion for Italian food, drink, and hospitality
