Ribble Recruitment is currently supporting the recruitment of an
ERP Tester
for a major
digital transformation programme within a local authority. This role will support the delivery of testing across key modules including
HR, Payroll, Finance, and Procurement
as part of an
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation programme. The successful candidate will work closely with internal functional teams and system implementation partners to ensure that
testing phases are delivered effectively and critical business processes are validated prior to system deployment. This role offers a
hybrid working model, with
two days per week in the Liverpool office and three days working remotely. Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the
ERP testing strategy, ensuring test coverage across critical business processes and system integrations. Develop
detailed test scripts
aligned to business requirements and functional specifications. Execute test cases and validate
system functionality and performance. Identify, log, and track
defects through to resolution, working closely with project teams and system implementation partners. Support the delivery of
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
phases and coordinate testing activities where required. Maintain comprehensive
test documentation, including test plans, scripts, results, and defect logs. Provide
regular reporting and updates
on testing progress and outcomes to programme stakeholders. Conduct
non-functional testing, including performance, security, and accessibility testing where required. Requirements
Proven experience working as a
tester within ERP or large-scale system implementation projects. Experience developing and executing
test scripts and test plans. Strong experience supporting
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
processes. Experience identifying and managing
defects through defect tracking tools. Understanding of
business systems such as HR, Payroll, Finance, or Procurement platforms. Ability to collaborate with
technical teams, business stakeholders, and implementation partners. Desirable Experience
Experience testing within
ERP transformation or system implementation programmes. Experience with
public sector or local government digital transformation projects. Knowledge of
performance, security, and accessibility testing methodologies. Interview Process
