Job Description
As a Building Safety Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of London's residents by identifying and addressing potential fire safety hazards in high and medium-rise residential buildings. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a risk-based inspection programme, reviewing data on external wall systems, and engaging with building proprietors to identify and address cladding and fire safety deficiencies.Required Skills:

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with building proprietors, stakeholders, and internal teams
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities
* Familiarity with building safety regulations, codes, and standards
* Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
Nice to Have Skills:
* Experience with risk assessment and mitigation techniques
* Knowledge of building safety regulations, codes, and standards
* Familiarity with data management systems and software
* Experience with stakeholder engagement and communication
Preferred Education and Experience:
* Degree in a relevant field such as Building Services Engineering, Fire Safety, or a related discipline
* Minimum 3 years of experience in building safety, fire safety, or a related field
* Experience working in a regulatory or enforcement role
Other Requirements:
* Certifications in fire safety or building safety (e.g. Fire Safety Manager, Building Safety Manager)
