Job Summary
* Minimise hazards in the working area and report identifiable hazards to the line manager.
* Adhere to all safe systems of work applicable to the area.
* Demonstrate effective communication, both orally and in writing, to ensure dissemination of information.
* Maintain confidentiality at all times.
* Promote awareness of child protection issues in line with the area child protection policy and Trust policy. Attend required training.
* Promote awareness of adult protection issues in line with the Herefordshire Multi‑Agency Policy and Procedures. Attend required training.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the registered nurse in the delivery of direct and indirect patient care.
* Report concerns to the registered nurse regarding cleanliness, hazards and patient safety.
* Ensure the registered nurse receives regular updates on patients’ condition and progress.
* Maintain equipment in a clean and functional state.
* Maintain a clean and tidy environment.

Person Specification
Essential
* Diploma Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care
* Demonstrates a patient‑focused approach
Desirable
* Previous experience in a caring role
* A minimum Maths and English GCSE grades 3‑9 or equivalent
