Come and join us at Devizes! Being an Explorers Volunteer is a rewarding experience. The role is full of variety, flexibility, and a lot of fun! We work as a team to inspire children and young people about our canals and rivers.
Visits run from Devizes Wharf, where we partner with the Kennet & Avon Canal Trust, and Caen Hill Locks, where we offer habitats activities during the summer term. We also think it's important to help children learn to be safe near water, and each year we organize visits to schools and groups.
We provide full training and resources for leading groups of children. You will have support from a Learning & Skills Co-ordinator, a Lead Volunteer, and fellow volunteers. Travel costs are reimbursed.
