About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our team. This is a leadership role where you will support individuals with their personal, social, and health care needs, while guiding and mentoring a team of Support Workers to deliver outstanding care.
You will work closely with families, advocates, and health and social care professionals to ensure the people we support lead fulfilling lives of their choosing. You'll also be responsible for maintaining high standards of care, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and stepping in for Deputy Managers when required.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support the care team to deliver person-centred care.
* Promote independence, dignity, and respect for all individuals.
* Organise daily support and activities, ensuring appropriate staffing levels.
* Amend rotas and manage staff deployment as needed.
* Maintain accurate records and ensure team documentation is up to standard.
* Oversee medication administration and ensure compliance with procedures.
* Manage household budgets, petty cash, and individual finances.
* Ensure effective handovers between shifts.
* Support hygiene standards and ensure cleaning rotas are followed.
* Monitor and support Key Workers.
* Respond to complaints and incidents promptly and escalate appropriately.
* Communicate effectively with all stakeholders in the individual's life.
* Attend training, including British Sign Language (BSL), if required.
* Undertake Health and Social Care Diploma at the appropriate level.

* Proven experience in a care/support role, ideally in a senior capacity.
* Strong leadership and organisational skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Commitment to person-centred care and safeguarding.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and evenings.
* A relevant Health and Social Care qualification (or willingness to work towards one).

Pay: £14.41 per hour
Expected hours: 38 per week
Experience:
* Senior support worker: 3 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
* Health and Social Care qualification Level 3 in Adult's (preferred)
* Driving Licence (preferred)
