1:1 Teaching Assistant – Maldon and Surrounding Area
Are you passionate about making a real difference in a child’s education? Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a welcoming primary school.
Pay: £13.67 – £15.00 per hour
Location: Maldon and surrounding area
About the Role
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a child who requires additional support, helping them access learning in a way that meets their unique needs. Your role will involve:
* Providing tailored support in the classroom and during activities
* Encouraging independence and confidence in learning
* Implementing strategies set by the SENCO and class teacher
* Supporting emotional and social development
* Working collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
* Patient, compassionate, and understanding
* Experienced in working with children with SEN
* Able to build strong relationships and support engagement
* Confident in using different strategies to support learning and behaviour
* A team player with strong communication skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
