Veritas Education is a leading education recruitment agency dedicated to connecting passionate and skilled professionals with schools across the UK. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic school in Wakefield.
The Role
* Assisting the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
* Providing one-on-one or small group support to students who need additional help.
* Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and adapting learning materials accordingly.
* Assisting in the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
* Helping to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Monitoring and recording student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
* Assisting with classroom management and promoting positive behaviour.
The Ideal Candidate
* Experience working in a secondary school environment is desirable, but not essential.
* A genuine interest in supporting young people's learning and development.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students.
* Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
* Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced school environment.
* A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) is advantageous but not required.
