CLASS 1 DRIVER
MONDAY TO FRIDAY: START TIMES 03:00 to 07:00
MONDAY TO FRIDAY: START TIMES 17:00 to 22:00
£17.50 - £18.50 PER HOUR
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in LICHFIELD, STAFFORDSHIRE.

Rates of Pay:
* Days: £17.50 per hour
* Lates: £18.50 per hour
Day to Day Duties
Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to:
* Depot to NDC deliveries
* No handball (working on box unit)
* Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
* Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
* Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
* Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
* Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
* Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
* Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed
Essential Skills
As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:
* Hold a valid UK Category C+E Licence
* Have a minimum of twelve months experience driving CE vehicles
* No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
* Have a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card
* Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
* Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
* Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
* Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience
* Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
* Previous experience with multi drop deliveries will be beneficial
Training
* Driver's Assessment must be completed
* After successful Assessment, there will be a one day paid induction
* Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
