Our clients, based close to Fareham, have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quality Engineer to join their growing team.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Record and categorise non-conformities. Find root cause and implement effective corrective action.
Carry out regular toolbox talks to advise technicians of quality issues and agreed corrective actions.
Where customer needs are missed, record and investigate root causes with the relevant stakeholders
Customer complaints and non-conformance administration. Record details, find root cause and determine corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Keep customers updated throughout the process and close off complaints in a timely manner
Internal auditor for QMS and EMS
Provide QA support for project work and product changes carried out by Engineering and Technical Services functions
Defining, communicating and managing the Project Quality Assurance activities through an approved and operating Quality Plan
Determining and managing a project audit plan to ensure that projects are operating in compliance with customer and applicable statutory, regulatory and BMS requirements
Ensure QA is represented at all project design review milestones
Ensure project release into production is controlled and any QA risks are documented and mitigated
Manage project non-conformance issues to ensure effective corrective actions are taken to achieve a level of zero recurrence
Supplier auditor. xsngvjr Work with the Purchasing team to assess new suppliers and re-assess existing suppliers
Visiting vendor facilities and observing the manufacturing environment to review and assess their procedures
Monitor and measure supplier quality performance and work with the Purchasing and Quality Managers to implement corrective action to continually reduce supplier failure costs
Work with key suppliers to develop and maintain an approved supply chain with clearly defined quality condition
Review incoming supplies and products from vendors to check for defects and ensure quality
Maintain detailed reports on supplier quality, including defect rates and areas that result in flaws
Provide technical advice, guidance and support to suppliers to reduce defect rates
Required skill & experience:
Quality experience within a manufacturing environment
Experience with non-conformance & corrective actions
Inspection of electrical, electronic and/or mechanical parts, assemblies and products against engineering drawings and specifications
Liaising with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders on quality related issues, including complaints, rejects, FATs, FAIRs and change control
Working hours:
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. 08:00-16:00 with a 30 min lunch
