* Providing specialist, technical and professional advice
* Generating ideas for solutions and new ways of working, supporting managers to implement continuous improvements
* Co-ordinating environmental policy and/or strategy development within SEPA and contribute to promoting improvements in regulation and the delivery of integrated national policies and strategies
* Advising strategic and local planners of our policy and environmental objectives and encourage proactive and partnership approaches to environmental protection
* Ensure that environmental objectives are integrated into local authority plans and responses to development management consultations including the co-ordination of SEPA responses as required
Respect for your expertise
This is a highly important role within our Governance, Performance & Engagement portfolio, which means you'll need:
* Degree / equivalent experience relevant to the role is essential.
* Technical expertise relevant to the role
* Team / Project leadership and management experience
* Excellent communication skills, including written, oral, presentations
* Comprehensive understanding of legislation and associated policies / frameworks
