Key Responsibilities:
* Support predictable delivery of AWS infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD initiatives.
* Remove complex technical impediments impacting engineering teams.
* Collaborate with the Technical Delivery Manager to manage sprint-level risks and cross-team dependencies.
* Work closely with engineers to improve flow across CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
* Promote engineering best practices including Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, code reviews, and Dev SecOps principles.
* Monitor delivery metrics such as velocity, cycle time, deployment frequency, lead time for change, and defect rates.
* Support backlog refinement with a strong understanding of technical enablers and architectural dependencies.
* Encourage operational readiness throughout delivery, including documentation, monitoring, and support model considerations.
* Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
* Escalate systemic delivery risks to the Technical Delivery Manager with clear impact analysis.
* Support incident learning reviews and promote “shift-left” quality practices.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* 5+ years’ experience as a Scrum Master within cloud, DevOps, or platform engineering environments.
* Strong understanding of AWS services (e.g., EC2, IAM, VPC, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch) and cloud operating models.
* Experience working with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK).
* Familiarity with CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, Bitbucket).
* Understanding of containerisation and orchestration (Docker, ECS, EKS).
* Experience working within regulated or government delivery environments.
* Proficient in Jira and Confluence for Agile tracking and reporting.
* Strong understanding of DevOps metrics (DORA metrics, deployment frequency, MTTR).
* Experience managing technical dependencies and delivery risks in complex environments.
* Exposure to incident, change, and problem management in live cloud environments.
* Strong facilitation, stakeholder communication, and conflict resolution skills.
